What to Expect on Wildlife Safari with Zanzibar
Our 9-day tour will take you to the most 3 Famous Tanzania National Park Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Tarangire National Park where you will experience majestic African wilderness and last but not least the pristine beach in Zanzibar Island. Here is an outline for our 9-day wildlife safari with the Zanzibar Beach holiday.
Serengeti National Park; Is one of the most famous and iconic wildlife destinations in the world. The park is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros), as well as cheetahs, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, various antelope species, and over 500 bird species. Serengeti is perhaps most famous for the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and other herbivores move in search of fresh grass and water. This incredible natural spectacle usually takes place between November and July, with river crossings being a highlight of the migration.
Ngorongoro Crater; The Ngorongoro Crater is often referred to as the “Garden of Eden” due to its remarkable biodiversity. It is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros). Other animals commonly spotted in the crater include zebras, wildebeests, hippos, cheetahs, hyenas, and various species of antelope. One of the primary activities in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is game drives within the crater. The Caldera provides an excellent opportunity for wildlife viewing due to its natural enclosure, which concentrates animals in a relatively small space. In addition to its rich wildlife, the Ngorongoro Crater offers breathtaking scenery with its lush forests, open grasslands, and shimmering soda lakes. The views from the crater rim are particularly spectacular.
Tarangire National Park; Tarangire is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including large herds of elephants, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, buffalos, and impalas. It is also known for its high concentration of predators, such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Additionally, the park is home to over 450 bird species, making it a birdwatcher’s paradise. Tarangire is often associated with its iconic baobab trees, which are some of the largest and oldest trees on the African continent. These ancient trees, with their distinctive bottle-shaped trunks, are a popular subject for photographers.
Zanzibar Island; Zanzibar is a tropical paradise known for its pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and rich cultural heritage. Our tour will take you to Kizimkazi, a small fishing village located on the southern coast of Zanzibar, and it’s known for its beautiful beaches and unique attractions, particularly dolphin watching. The clear waters off Kizimkazi’s coastline offer great snorkeling opportunities. Don’t forget the Spice tour, where you will explore the island’s spice plantations. You can join a guided tour to learn about the island’s history as a spice trading hub and sample exotic spices like cloves, cinnamon, and vanilla.
